I decided to post the picture of my wife Jan, my son Wyatt and daughter Gillian celebrating our successful climb up Pikes Peak. For many people you will say hey great job Ken you climbed a fourteen-er! What you don’t know is 12 years ago I was in a serious car accident. I broke my neck, my low back and suffered a close head injury most commonly known as a TBI - Traumatic Brain Injury. Life as I knew it was over, I didn’t know who I was didn’t know I was married, had kids or what I did for a living. I was in recovery for 10 years until one day a dear friend came to my wife with a product that significantly changed my life. I was able to get off of all my pain meds, anti-inflammatory meds, anti-depressants, and sleep aides. I had medication to wake me up put me to sleep and make me happy and control any pain that might raise it head during my day.
For two years I began to live again! I did things that I could not do for 10 years. I went on a family vacation driving to Florida when before I could barely drive across town without experiencing serious pain and having to recover in bed after the cross town trip. Life was getting better!!!
So I made it to the top of Pike Peak! This was significant, I was out of breath, My son ran to the top but my wife and daughter stayed with me to encourage me every step of the way. At one point Gillian looked at me and said “dad are you going to be ok? do you mind if I run ahead and get to the top?” I encouraged her to go ahead. But Jan was still there making sure I drank and kept going. I passed the Golden Staircase and Jan went on ahead. there I was alone with my self talk. I kept putting one foot in front of the other, finally I heard my name being called it was Wyatt bounding down the trail throwing his arms around me telling me how proud he was of me and saying “here dad let me help you” We made it to the top. Two years after my ten year anniversary of my car accident.
Once I was at the top I was sitting there pondering life! I could not have made it with out the support of those around me. But I could never have made it if I stopped taking one step after the other. You only loose when you stop. some may run ahead, some may lag behind, it doesn’t matter how you cross the finish line what matters is that you cross the finish line. So as you proceed with your 90 Day Challenge stay close to those who are encouraging you, follow instructions and keep placing one foot in front of the other! You can do it!!!

Clean Cellular Energy
Energize your cells, energize your body with MaxATP™, the first energy drink in the world powered by RiboCeine™. Only MaxATP gives your body what it needs to produce sustained and consistent energy at the cellular level while also fighting against free radicals generated in the production of ATP.
What is ATP?
ATP, or adenosine triphosphate, is your body’s most basic form of energy and is produced in every cell. It powers our cells, organs, and, by extension, our bodies. Many different components are required to produce ATP.
ATP in our bodies is like the battery in a car. Everything in the car is dependent on the energy from the battery. When the battery power runs low, the lights in the car begin to dim and the performance of the car starts to suffer. However, when the battery power is re-charged or restored, performance returns to normal and the car functions exactly how it was designed.
The Power of RiboCeine™
MaxATP does what other energy drinks can’t because of RiboCeine, a breakthrough compound exclusive to Max International which provides key benefits tied to cellular energy.
First, it effectively protects and delivers the fragile cysteine molecule to the cell. Cysteine is often in limited supply in the body, but is an essential component needed for the production of glutathione, the body’s master antioxidant. Glutathione is especially important due to its unique ability to protect the cell, where energy is created.
Second, RiboCeine also delivers ribose, a natural compound required for ATP, the basic form of cellular energy in the body.
MaxATP therefore delivers what your body needs to produce sustained and consistent energy at the cellular level while also fighting against free radicals generated in the production of ATP. MaxATP cleans up what others leave behind, supporting the optimal health of each and every cell.
Unlike all other energy drinks, MaxATP provides a comprehensive solution to the energy creation, support, and protection needs of your body.
Energy Beyond the Boost
Unlike other energy drinks that yield a short-term boost and little else, MaxATP provides a sustained source of energy by supporting the body’s natural cellular production of ATP in three unique ways:
Fuels ATP production in the cells by providing the necessary nutrients, including optimal amounts of ribose.*
Replenishes energy and fights fatigue by helping your body convert food into energy. Optimal amounts of ATP help you feel less fatigued.*
Neutralizes free radicals. Only MaxATP can provide RiboCeine to assist your body in the production of glutathione, which helps to neutralize free radicals created during ATP production.*
Other energy drinks can’t match these benefits because they can’t match MaxATP’s exclusive formulation. Even better, it’s designed to work synergistically with MaxGXL® and Max N-Fuze®. All three can be taken together to give you unparalleled cellular protection, health and energy.
Each box of MaxATP provides 15 convenient two-ounce bottles, and one bottle a day gives you a powerhouse of nutrients for unbeatable ATP support. When you want to energize your body, don’t reach for a short-term boost. Reach instead for MaxATP and clean cellular energy.

“It helps me stay up all night when I have work to do,” said Matt Sporre, 20, a sophomore chemical engineering major who said he drank shots three or four nights a week when school was in session. “Those things are going to be the death of my generation,” he added. “Too much caffeine.”
we had our official launch of our newest product which brings an extremely healthy alternative to this market. What we have done is use technology that promotes the production of ATP in every cell of your body. As you might know ATP is your bodies energy currency; it is what you are designed to run on it is
naturally occurring in your body. The technology that is used to promote the production of ATP also detoxifies your body after that production so your cell is clean and ready to go the next time you require energy. This makes us incredibly “Clean Energy”
In the next few days I will be posting comparisons on the five main energy drinks on the market which will show you the sugar content, caffeine and the other stimulants in those products. It will show that we have clearly addressed the issue of energy drinks/shots in a creative way that sets a whole new standard for the industry. This new technology was 25 years of research coming to fruition. It is very exciting!
The major differences are most products stimulates your adrenal glands to think you have what you ultimately do not so your body runs on overdrive ultimately wearing itself out quicker. It would be like putting high octane gas in a lawn mower, it will run like a dream for three or four times and then it will quickly break down and seize itself up. That is what adrenal fatigue does to your body you then need a doctor to help you address those issues.
By promoting the production of ATP you get and use your naturally occurring energy resources it is on demand when you need it. Then the lactic acid that is produced in those cells is cleaned up and removed from the cells and flushed out of your system. That my friends is stellar science in use to promote health and healthy lifestyles.
So, it doesn’t matter if you need energy to do physical exercise, perform better at your job or just get through your day it is there for you when you need it most; just open the two ounce bottle swallow and in fifteen - twenty minutes you are ready to perform to your fullest potential.
I have tended towards beer. great calories, taste and at times I have even thought them to be quite refreshing. But yet not quite the answer for increasing my energy level until yesterday I tried one that my company just put out (to give it a good trial I tried it on an empty stomach, I did not get the jitters/shakes, I did not… spike or crash, I just had a significant increase in my energy level for about eight hours. I was actually shocked!!! Years ago I had a red bull, it made me sick! so I never had any of the other ones. I don’t like having the jitters, feeling my heart rate sky rocket so I just stayed away from them all.
Since that time I have read the studies that have been done (my degree is in Sports Science so boring research papers are interesting to me) this year a study from the University of Washington showed kids in their teens who have consumed at least one energy drink per day for the last year have the blood markers of someone who has advanced cardiac disease in their 70. So I have believed the best answer to stay away from them was wise after all.
So like I said in my post I have been trying to understand why people drink so much of them. Are people interested in healthy alternatives? I know one guy who is in his late 20 who drinks three monsters a day! He shakes continually all day long. It is scary knowing what I have read but he is not interested in health.

My Dad always said “Decisions Determine Destinations.”
You might remember the movie Apollo 13. It was the lunar mission that had major complications after takeoff and had to abort landing on the moon. There was also a real concern that they would not even make it back home.
My dad worked at NASA at that time and was part of the team that worked at the Johnson Space Center. This team went through all the possible scenarios with Ken Mattingly and the others team members to get the crew of Apollo 13 home. The concern was that if their trajectory was off by even the smallest percentage they would bounce off the earth’s atmosphere and would forever be lost in space. You see, the team made a decision that day that they were going to bring those guys home … and they did.
Being the daughter of an American hero taught me many things. One of those things was to never give up on your dreams because if you make the right decisions you will someday end up at your destination.
Along that journey, sometimes life can throw you a curve ball. We had a curve ball thrown our way eleven years ago. My husband was in a severe car accident and life as we knew it changed forever. Our dreams, our hopes our future at that moment seemed to be slipping away and I was helpless to stop it.
Ken had a closed head injury, a broken neck and a broken back. He was the width of a human hair away from being a quadriplegic. His closed head injury was significant—he could no longer do the career he was doing at the time of the accident. I didn’t know if he was going to be my sixth child. I was losing my husband; my children were losing their father. I was afraid, my hope was gone, our life’s mission had been completely altered, and we felt it was being aborted.
Then in December of 2008 our dear friend, Tina Reninger, came over to the house with a red box. Little did I know that in that box was the answer to the prayers that had kept me awake at night; Ken started on the Max GXL product and within days we started noticing some significant changes in his pain, his sleep and his joint pain. By the end of December our hope for the future began to change. At the end January 2009 we went to the company’s showcase and we made a decision to pursue this as a business.
This decision became one of the most profound decisions we have ever made. We have had the most significant year in our eleven year journey from that devastating accident. This has been not only the best business decision, but it has also been the most incredible health transformation I have ever seen in my life. I have my husband restored, back home, and my children have their father back.
If you remember the homecoming of the movie Apollo 13, the joy and elation that those families shared at having their loved ones restored alive and in good health brought many to tears. It took a team to accomplish that feat.
Our decision to work with the Max team has and will continue to determine our destination for the good. We now have a team, a product and a business that just might have the most significant and profound impact on the lives of the people we meet.
I’m so very thankful for my dad teaching me how decisions determine destination.
You see, let me finish my story. My Dad made a decision when he was a boy that one day he would walk on the moon. My Dad was the eighth man to walk on the moon, Col. James B. Irwin: he was Apollo 15’s Lunar Module Pilot.
Decisions do determine your destinations!
By Carl Woolston
What drives a man to get out of bed and face each day with undaunted optimism? What gives a person the consistency to work toward an unrealized goal without immediate reward?
Why, when certain leaders speak of ideals and vision, do others lay down their weapons of defensiveness and join in the battle?
This trait cannot be purchased. It has no price because it is not for sale.
What is it? It is passion.
Passion motivates and encourages. It pushes, yet at the same time leads.
Does it create greatness? It fuels greatness.
Those that possess it find a wealth untold. It gives activity to idleness and purpose to activity.
It is a motivating emotion that few find, but many search for. No treasure map or even GPS can locate the source.
But is passion enough?
When you arrive at some trivial destination will you be happy? You may, but you will be empty.
It is as if you have taken a long journey and are now out of gas. Your passion has fueled new perspectives and new opportunities, but to what end?
Passion without purpose is a dead end.
Purpose helps one realize possibility. It brings direction and reason to change.
Change — for the sake of change — is like running in place and hoping to arrive at some new destination. It is subtle madness.
When one has purpose each new step brings new horizons into view. New perspectives become manifest on the landscape of learning through experience.
How does one find purpose?
It rarely comes all at once. To many it comes not at all. Why? Not because it can’t be found but because it can be hard to find.
Purpose is found gradually, even like a great snowball slowly growing in speed and size as it rolls toward its destination.
Many are not willing to invest in something that won’t come to fruition until later.
Great leaders, thinkers, and statesman see purpose come clearly into view after they toil with some great thought over time.
They see a need and feel it stir something deep within their soul. Rarely all at once, but little by little they see and understand.
This understanding grows great within the soul, heart, and mind. It permeates actions and objectives.
This understanding surpasses knowledge. Its value far exceeds all of worldly possessions.
It cannot be sold, but it can be given — through leadership, service, mentoring, and teaching.
How rich is the soul that understands why they were born and for what end they were created.
It begins with passion and passion finds purpose. And where passion and purpose meet, you have found mission.
One of my favorite poems is “A Fence or an Ambulance” by the 19th Century poet Joseph Malins.
Read it closely and see how it applies in your life:
“Twas a dangerous cliff,” as they freely confessed,
Though to walk near its crest was so pleasant;
But over its terrible edge there had slipped
A duke and full many a peasant.
So the people said something would have to be done,
But their projects did not at all tally;
Some said, “Put a fence around the edge of the cliff,”
Some, “An ambulance down in the valley.”
But the cry for the ambulance carried the day,
For it spread through the neighboring city;
A fence may be useful or not, it is true,
But each heart became brifful of pity
For those who slipped over that dangerous cliff;
And the dwellers in highway and alley
Gave pounds or gave pence, not to put up a fence,
But an ambulance down in the valley.
“For the cliff is all right, if you’re careful,” They said,
“And, if folks even slip and are dropping,
It isn’t the slipping that hurts them so much,
As the shock down below when they’re stopping.”
So day after day, as these mishaps occurred,
Quick forth would these rescuers sally
To pick up the victims who fell off the cliff,
With their ambulance down in the valley.
Then an old sage remarked: “It’s a marvel to me
That people give far more attention
To repairing results than to stopping the cause,
When they’d much better aim at prevention.
Let us stop at its source all this mischief.” cried he,
“Come, neighbors and friends, let us rally;
If the cliff we will fence we might almost dispense
With the ambulance down in the valley.”
“Oh, he’s a fanatic,” The others rejoined,
“Dispense with the ambulance? Never!
He’d dispense with all charities, too, if he could;
No! No! We’ll support them forever.
Aren’t we picking up folks just as fast as they fall? And shall this man dictate to us? Shall he?
Why should people of sense stop to put up a fence, While the ambulance works in the valley?”
But a sensible few, who are practical too,
Will not hear with such nonsense much longer;
They believe that prevention is better then cure,
And their party will soon he the stronger.
Encourage them then, with your purse, voice, and pen.
And while other philanthropists dally,
They will scorn all pretense and put up a stout fence
On the cliff that hangs over the valley.
Better guide well the young then reclaim them when old,
For the voice of true wisdom is calling,
“To rescue the fallen is good, but ‘tis best
To prevent other people from falling.”
Better close up the source of temptation and crime
Than deliver from dungeon or galley;
Better put a strong fence round the top of the cliff
Than an ambulance down in the valley.
Where are you employing ambulances rather than building fences in your life?
Think this through seriously. Apply it to all facets of your life: family, finances, business, relationships, personal development, politics, education, etc.
3 Business Lessons I’ve Learned From Fly Fishing
Posted: 25 Apr 2010 04:00 AM PDT
By Greg Fullerton
Fly fishing is one of my favorite things to do because it gives me time to sit and think about life.
I used to fly fish a lot with my dad. Fly fishing had a calming effect on him.
He would get a tangle in his line and he’d sit there for twenty minutes, patiently helping it along, letting it work itself out.
I think there’s a metaphor in life for that.
A lot of times we’re so anxious to jerk on the knot, and all it does is weaken the line.
So if you’re patient, and let things unfold, and work on projects patiently, you have a much better chance of them working out favorably for you.
For example, when you’re overly anxious to close a sale and make a new customer, you’ll often push them away.
But when you patiently work with them, figure out their needs, and tug on them just where and how they need to be tugged, you’ll land them.
In fly fishing you don’t cast right at the fish. You cast above the fish and you man the line, and you let it float naturally through where the fish are, and you have to pay attention.
You don’t just hope they take it, you have to play a part in that.
Because they’ll bite at it a little, but you need to set it, you need to watch for the action then — boom! — you’ve got to yank that line at just the right moment.
And if you’re not paying attention, it happens fast. You’ve got to be ready. You’ve got to get a feel for it. It takes a while to get that feel.
Timing comes with experience, which means you need to fish a lot.
Business is no different — the more experienced you are, the more intuitive you’ll be to respond to people’s needs when the moment is right.
But if you prospect for a while then give up because you haven’t landed any prospects, you’ll never gain that experience.
You need to keep working the business long enough to learn when to yank the line and when to sit still.
More than timing, you also need something on your line that fish actually want to eat.
I mean, you could throw a booger out there, but who wants to eat a booger?
You’ve got to be casting something that people like. You’ve got to learn to craft and personalize your approaches to be relevant to each prospect on their terms.
For example, a particular prospect may not be jazzed by health and wellness products, but they thrive on the control of entrepreneurship.
That person would need a different “fly” on the line than the person who has had significant and painful health problems for years.
So keep casting. Stay patient with your tangles. Learn to listen and watch for the right signs, then pounce on them when the timing is right. And always make sure you’re casting with the right bait.
I decided to start the master cleanse on Wednesday. This cleanse focuses on the colon and the liver. Detoxifying these two organs is in my opinion is so life giving. I tend to feel clean, clear and pure. The ten day process begins with a huge commitment to the journey at hand. I say that because by day two when your body starts feeling the effects of the cleanses effect you want to bail. If you do cave don’t feel bad just get back in the fight and finish this battle over cleaning up your Liver and Colon; Your body will thanks you!
Day 1: So Wednesday I started out feeling pretty good about myself. I can do this! I am man hear me roar!!! The sun is out 68 degrees, it was a beautiful to live in Colorado. I am drinking my lemonade, cayenne pepper mixture it not to bad. About 3:00 I start getting dogged by a headache. For me this is the first signs of detoxing. It does not go away and I end up going to bed with it.
Day 2: Thursday - I feel like crap but yet I have not (if you know what I mean) I ache but get up face the day because the battle over the flesh is mine. I can do this. The headache is still there some say when you stop drinking coffee that the headache can be more intense. The things we do to ourselves because of our personal preferences to drink or eat those things that may have an adverse effect on us.
Lunch times roles around I forgot that we had a lunch appointment by this time I am starved, I am miserable, I am having a difficult time concentrating and I am responsible to train several business partners. What was I thinking? Right about now I am not having good thoughts for the friend who encouraged me to do this cleanse. So I caved and had a salad to try and get me through the lunch meeting. After lunch was another appointment with a potential new business partner and then we are off to Gillian’s soccer game. Bed time could not come quick enough!
Day 3: Friday - Woke up moved to get out of bed and my joints started screaming! not only does my headache but now my whole body does good news however I did have a movement if you know what I mean. I feel like a baby. I open the blinds and guess what 9” of snow on my deck and still snowing at 9:51am I am staying home today! I am planning on doing a salt water flush tonight Need to get things moving better. I do believe this is and will be worth the effort. I will sign off for now! Have a great day!!!
